Now that War Games is entering its final two weeks of prep for our 7/12/2013 release, we have begun to turn our attention to our August exclusive figure.
This one is a little special and is our first collaboration. The idea for this figure came to me at 4am one night while I was thinking up the design of Talos and working it out on my iPad (where I sketch very basic designs of all the characters). I worked it out over the span of 2 months with Lee (the characters creator).
This figure will be very special because besides being completely awesome, it will contain an event ticket that can be used to replace any event ticket…a golden ticket if you will.
So if you missed out on Windy City Wreckage or War Games you can use this ticket towards the mail away at the end of the year.
Because of this unexpected release our overall release schedule will be readjusted. We may swap figures around due to the events that occur in the associated comic.
It’s a ninja turtle.
That was my first thought too!
I’m going with “Bandana Wearing Bullfrog for my official guess. 😉
if your going with a frog then i’m going with a toad.
I know I’m way off but what the hey. I’ll have have making a guess.
All I will say for now that is both of you are not too far off, a bullfrog and a toad both live in the same environment as this figure lol
WOW! Nice grammar.
should be you’re.
A salamander?
A real life salamander doesn’t have the mass of that character. and if it does that’s a new one for me.
My guess was based on Mark stating that this figure lives in the same environment as a frog and toad. So, I based my guess on the only other well-known amphibian…the salamander.
AND what many people might not realize (as you pointed out) is that there are actually GIANT salamanders that can get to be 5-feet in length and up to almost 100 pounds 🙂
Perhaps the first thoughts were right?
A turtle?
That was my first thought also, but nothing else was said after it was mentioned. Guess we will have to wait and see.
That’s one thing I love about this line. With all of the characters animals, there is so much more diversity than if they were all humans. There are enough species out there to keep this line going for decades.
Yeah that was one the main things in my mind, and even if we have the same animal types their looks/purpose/personality make them unique. Ulric and his sister Yvonne are an example of that. We have some really neat supporting characters that will explore other animals not seen yet for our ring announcer, referee, and general manager.
But keep the guesses coming, if you guys really think about it you should be able to figure it out 🙂
I can’t help, but keep going back to turtle. Maybe “turtle” isn’t precisely correct, but what about a Chelonian in general (turtle, tortoise, or terrapin)?
