Leo Corazon – War Games sold out

It’s been a roller coaster day, Leo Corazon went on sale at 12:01 and by 12:04 all the thermal color change stock had sold out! Shortly after Gold sold out and then Metallic.

We had adjusted production to increase Thermal but it was not enough. We will have to meet with the MWOTR team and see if we can possibly run a 2nd batch. And we will try to adjust the numbers again for the next release.

To those who missed out we hope this does not keep you from collecting in the future. To those who might be joining us for the first time, you are in for a treat this year and next!

Would you ever think about a subscription or pre-order? I know that isn’t necessarily an option with a smaller toy company. I was wondering if that might give you a better idea as to how many toys to make.

Its something I have thought about, until now I did not know if there was enough demand to offer such a thing. We are working up several ideas right now to try and make these more available.

Its a tricky thing to balance, on the one hand I really do not want to move to a made to order system as I would like to give everyone equal and fair chance every time the figures come up for sale. I also do not want to reissue figures because then people will depend on reissues if they miss out, and that hurts the collectible nature of the line.

We will be taking customer feedback into account and try to act accordingly. It’s not an overnight process though, for example what sold out in minutes yesterday took almost 60 days of planning and prep work between multiple individuals.

I hope nothing I say comes off as a complaint, we are hitting goals we had set much earlier and much faster than we had planned. I am ecstatic with the response, but since these are hand made I just cannot “make more toys” in any expedient manner lol

I understand. It’s hard to balance between making the franchise a fun collectible without either turning people off with how hard they are to collect or ending up with too many unsold toys. Even the big companies have trouble with this. Unfortunately that’s the one bad thing that comes with a franchise’s increased popularity; more people are vying for the same thing you are. Lol!

Congrats to you! That is quite an accomplishment 🙂

Have you thought about doing some kind of multi pack?

Something like 2 new releases mixed in a batch of previously released figures with new colors?

Or maybe 2 new releases with previously released figures with new poses?

    I know. Money.
