The Logo is now complete, it will adorn all the mats throughout the PPV themed releases. Who is the Lion in the center? That will be revealed in 2013

We have received word that our bulk shipment of wrestling rings should arrive shortly. We have ordered the units by the case load so we should have enough for the entire year (250 comes to each case).

Hopefully the first or second week in January we can reveal how the ring for the first PPV set will look. We are currently working with the vinyl printers on a proof of the ring mat and the customized skirt stickers. They will be made of UV Resistant Vinyl.

The plan is for the ring mat to stay the same and be uniform (just as say the TNA and WWE mats are) and the skirts/sides will change to reflect the PPV Name and Logo.

Now that Thanksgiving has passed we are back to work on character designs/concepts/plans.

We will have a new character reveal for you soon with probably a few more due before the New Year, and throughout December we will turn our attention to fleshing out some of the back-stories of this Universe with more bio cards that begin to setup 2013’s launch.

Our goal is to have the Universe set up well by the time of launch, this allows us greater flexibility in which characters to produce and how to construct the Pay Per View Themed releases.

Our plan right now is to launch @ C2E2 in Chicago, these plans are highly tentative at the moment and are reliant on multiple factors.

We have artists working on the art, I am currently negotiating the cost and design of the packaging and of course there is the actual toy design part of the equation.

Winged Fury are the former Tag Team Champions of the AWF. Dispatching challenger after challenger led to extreme overconfidence and a loss of their belts to the Rabbit Twins “Lapin Loco”; Refocused Hawke and Falkon have made it their mission to not only regain the belts but to make sure Cortez & Caesar never wrestle again. This week we give thanks for everything we have, and to celebrate we will be revealing the next characters in this universe.

AWF Windy City Wreckage 2013, debuting during C2E2 April 26-28 in a limited edition boxed set

I realized that some people who visit here might not know who I am, not being an artist its kind of hard to have a body of work to point to. So I will now bore you with a small bio:

My name is Mark Vasquez, I own Fantastic Plastic Toys. If you have ever frequented the Masters of the Universe world you might know me as markatisu on the he-man.org board where I am a Supermod and have been in the Administrative structure for over 10 years. I also have accounts on Rangerboard and some other message boards but all under the same name. You can find me on eBay under the username isujill where I am a power seller and have been in good standing since 2000.

Its a common misconception that markatisu means something or is a nickname, its literally Mark AT ISU (Iowa State University). I have degrees in History and Religious Studies and have been working in IT/Education related fields for over 12 years (Starting with the Department of Defense, and moving onto Education Institutes).

He-Man.org is actually where I met my artist Jazyl and Marty, friendships with both spanning nearly a decade. I also have many other friends in the toy and art industry.

So there you go, if you are in the he-man world you know my reputation is rock solid, if you look on eBay you will see the same thing. So while I do not possess much in the way of artistic talent like my friends I bring the “business” side to the equation via my store and my designs/plans.

As we get closer to the launch of the first figures I hope to hear from many of you and see what it is you want to see in Mystical Warriors of the Ring!

Some people have been disappointed this line would not reflect the more popular 5.5″ scale of other lines like my friend Mike’s Realm of the Underworld or Ben’s upcoming Lucha Shark.

It was decided that the collectible nature of 1 1/2-2″ figures was more logical with the amount of characters and pay per view events I have planned. This does not rule out a 5.5″ scale figure or any scale, eventually this idea will span into short animations and other neat ideas.

The following pics should illustrate its appeal to fans of other lines, each ring will come with 3 sets of colored ropes and have a custom ring mat to reflect the PPV event release.

If the wrestling ring looks familiar it can be found in quite a few other “discount” lines, they were however bought in wholesale directly from the manufacturer using my retail license to customize for playability in this line.
