I won’ tell you who is coming next but once he finished the current batch we have a fun idea we are going to do, maybe for a Convention Exclusive T-Shirt…
Tonight we got word from the factory that our next color, the one we are running specifically for Planet Comicon in KC and C2E2 in Chicago is almost complete. We have approved it and we will be revealing it in the next 2 weeks.
Anyone want to venture a guess?
It is one we think a lot of people will enjoy and a popular color choice amongst minifigure collectors worldwide.
As you know by now Lee and I have been furiously working on some really neat MWOTR related projects, some of which we have teased and others only Lee and I are aware of (not even the internal MWOTR team knows about them at this point)
For the longest time I wanted to begin to incorporate his comic world with our PVC/Urethane world but we were not quite sure how to do it.
Then it hit me, the best way to do this was just to bring the comic world out into full color in a way that our toys could play in it.
We went back and forth with how to accomplish this, I could have Simon sculpt an entire arena (and that has not been taken off the table just fyi) but then we began to think of how we played with toys when we were little and I came up with the idea of a playmat.
Scaled for our minifigures this 8×14 mat should give you a fully sized AWF Arena to play with your figures, there is much more to this whole deal then this playmat but this is all we are going to show off tonight 😉
Lee illustrated a wrestling ring, so if you don’t have one you can use that faux ring as a play area. But if you have one it fits right on top!
We are still working out pricing and materials, this is not just something we are printing on paper and laminating. It is being professionally produced and we hope to have a handful available at KC Planet Comicon and C2E2, but eventually we have bigger plans for this playmat as just one piece in a much larger expansion this fall 🙂
Unbeknownst to me MWOTR was in the running for a Golden Germ as Best Indy Toy, and we ended up in 3rd place (which I guess is a bronze germ)
So thanks to Nerditis for the mention, its neat we are reaching people enough to even be in the conversation of a best/favorite toy!

If you have been paying attention you noticed our latest project has a lot of comic style elements in it.
Up till now the AWF logo has not been shown in the comic style
Hopefully soon we will be able to reveal all that we have been working on!
We are giving you another tease as to what Lee and I are working on, this will be included with what tease item we showed earlier.
Ever wanted to see inside an AWF Arena? Lee and I have been working behind the scenes on something that I think fans will enjoy.
Not only is the overall work a thing of beauty but it will enhance any MWOTR play session 😉
Hopefully we have this in production and ready to sell in a few weeks starting at KC Planet Comicon, if not then it will be available at C2E2.
We got word today that our Convention Exclusive $5.00 Trade Paperback is now in printing and binding.
Totaling 64 pages of content, notes and unseen sketches/raw sketches, some panels have been added back in or ideas fleshed out a bit more. It should make a great starting point for anyone wanting to get into MWOTR for the first time or seasoned vets who have been following us since Day 1.
We have ordered enough we think to meet demand, but if it sells out at Planet Comicon we will reorder for C2E2.

ThEpic Review interviewed us when we were just getting started, and now after picking up our debut PVC Packs at NYCC they have picked us as Top 10 Toyline for 2013.
It’s really nice to see we are connecting with people and we can’t wait to show off everything we have planned for 2014!
