As most of you know by now we are always working ahead on things, with our Treegarr figure coming up for release in a few weeks we are now working on things for PowerCon.
Our friend Jukka Issakainen has been gracious enough to provide us with some art, and we figured some people might like to see that being worked out instead of just the final piece.

Earlier today I was shown 5 pages of our second comic and Lee has stepped up his game big time! I am so proud of him for all the effort he is pouring into this and I think fans are going to love it.
I was messing around with some of the art and made a promo image for Instagram depicting the main event in Lee’s comic style

We had an amazing response to the first shirt we posted, so we tested a new vendor with different colors to see if we liked their output better and then will move on from there.
And while we were at it we decided to push through a few more promo shirts for our Convention Tour, the first one got finished up earlier tonight. Its called “Size doesn’t matter” and features the AWF Tag Team Champions Lapin Loco and their beautiful manager Yvonne (seen here in her wrestling attire)
We have mentioned a Legends line a few times in recent months, and some fans have asked what is that?
Each year we plan a theme, that theme tells you who will be focused on, what stories to expect, and what figures to look forward to.
2013 was Singles
2014 is Tag Teams and the remaining Giants
2105 is Legends
Its fairly straightforward, our story started in the current era of the AWF. However everything started somewhere and that is where the Legends line fits in. During that year you will find out the origins of the federation, meet those involved as well as see past Champions.
Some wrestlers have already been talked about, the Deadly Dawgs for example, are in the Legends line. A younger Guy “Big Daddy” Smith is another example. Heck you see Alberto Corazon on the wrestling mat. So we are planting the seeds for the Legends line to come alive in 2015!
We are preparing to take the Mystical Warriors of the Ring to our next Convention Tour stop PowerCon. But we still have a host of updates for this month including
We will also be giving you some insight into our convention display and what all our tour entails
Today these arrived to the MWOTR offices, t-shirts for our staff to wear when promoting the line. The front proudly displays our Logo designed by Former Disney Imagineer Alan Watkins and the back has artwork by Hasbro/IDW/MVC/Image Comic Artist Leanne Hannah. At this time these are not for sale, if there appears to be demand we might look into making them for fans.
As we continue to spread the word we may ask for volunteers to hand out flyers, comic books and other promotional material, a MWOTR “Street Team” so to speak. Members of that would receive shirts similar to this.
When we announced Johnny “Treegarr” Stumpz, we said he would come with an comic panel one-sheet. Once again the MWOTR Comic Artist (and Treegarr creator) Lee Burbridge delivers a B&W piece full of intensity. On the backside of this will be the story of the match.
This image will also be collected and expanded for the future trade paperback release (as well as an expanded Windy City Wreckage Comic and more)
Look for more comic work by Lee as the year progresses, if we can pull it off there should be 2 more comic books released before the year ends.
And as another week begins we look at the voting
Loading ...It appears there are clear favorites, so we will keep watching it for another week or two and then move forward with sculpting. If there is not a clear winner we will probably have 2 of the top 3 done. But its clear that fans really want to see the Former Tag Team Champions and the Bounty Hunters in 2″ scale. Ironic given that their stories intertwine….oops that’s right you guys have not seen the Fortune Seekers bio yet 😉
We are beginning the preparations to take Mystical Warriors of the Ring to PowerCon!
We will have the entire 2013 lineup on display as well as free bags for kids which will contain crayons, coloring pages of some of our characters and overall information on the line itself. We may even do a create a character contest with the winner receiving a really cool “prototype” or test piece from the line.
If all goes well we should even have a full scale version of our AWF Heavyweight Championship, crafted by the talented folks at ProAm Belts! This belt will be used as the reference piece for creating the in scale belt for the figures.
Along with that we intend to bring an exclusive figure, the details on that will be announced closer to the event. It will be handled just like C2E2, we will have two stocks and the one for online will go on sale when we return but be highly limited.
Several of the artists who have worked on the line will be attending as well, so if you are coming to the Con then please stop by and there might even be some super secret 2014 sculpts to look at 😉
The reissue of Leo Corazon Thermal Color Change is now available for preorder. These will ship in Late August.
